A cross cultural investigation of children and nature(s)
The Project
Have you ever wondered how children learn about the nonhuman world in their everyday life?
And how different cultures shape the way in which we interact with other beings and the broader natural world?
Our project investigates precisely these kinds of questions.
Our project, based at the Rachel Carson Centre in Munich and funded by the Volkswagen Foundation,
draws on anthropological, philosophical and psychological tools to examine questions
regarding the relationship between children and the nonhuman world.
Team
We are an interdisciplinary group that undertakes comparative research using methods from anthropology, psychology, animal science, and philosophy.
